I literally did not mention "indie" in any part of my post. I said generic catchy pop songs (in the context of radio-friendly music) are not 6 minutes long, which is completely true.
Even Justin trimmed down half of his overlong songs during his last era for radio.
It remains a fact that radio will not play a 6 minute song like Brooklyn Baby. It remains a fact that radio will rarely if ever play a song that has an extremely slow tempo AND takes ages to get to any big hook.
