Monday, June 30th Promotion BILLBOARD: DANITY KANE RETURNS WITH THE SONG OF THE SUMMER
Danity Kane. That name just might ring a bell! Coming from the hit MTV series in 2005 - 2006, Making the Band produced by Sean “Diddy” Combs, the dreams of five girls came true. Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O’Day and Wanita “D. Woods” Woodgett were forming into a superstar girl group. And that’s exactly what they became. In 2006, the girls released their debut single, “Show Stopper” featuring Young Joc. The single shot up the charts, becoming their highest-peaking song on the Hot 100, at #8. Although their follow-up single “Ride For You” didn’t hold much success on the Hot 100, it showed the true diversity of the group and was a complete one-eighty spin to their debut single. Their self-titled debut album hit #1 on the Billboard 200, proving that they were a force to be reckoned with.
Moving onto the next era, when Danity Kane celebrated their second-year-anniversary, the biggest hit of their career would be born. “Damaged”. The song, produced by The Stereotypes (whom Danity Kane is working with currently), dominated radios, television stations and had a great impact on streaming. Although it could not out-peak “Show Stopper”, the #10 song did have the most impact compared to their other singles. Their sophomore album, ‘Welcome to the Dollhouse’, also debuted at #1 proving that even during difficult times (the band was having trust and management complications), the girls could still overcome and sell records. Their follow-up single, “Bad Girl” featuring Missy Elliot did not enter the Hot 100, but the music video is arguably their best one yet. Overall, the legacy Danity Kane has built has been sustained, as songs like “Damaged” are still beloved and remembered to this date. But fear not, because Danity Kane is back! Just not the same way as before…
Now a trio, Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex have joined forces to revive Danity Kane. Their comeback single, “Lemonade” featuring Tyga, was released just yesterday. And in actuality, “Lemonade” has peaked our interest like no other song this new Quarter, making it the Song of the Summer in our eyes. Danity Kane currently holds a record that not TLC, Destiny’s Child, or The Spice Girls achieved. They are the first, and only girl group to have their first two albums hit #1 on the Billboard 200. And with their hyping and delivering on “Lemonade”, it seems possible that their next project released could hit #1 on the charts as well.
Teaming up with The Stereotypes (produced “Damaged”), Danity Kane has completed an EP, which sounds fresher and better than any of their previous songs. We will always have the fan favorites and gems “Ride For You”, “Want It”, “Strip Tease”, “Sucka For Love”, “Poetry” and many other amazing works, but Danity Kane’s time to break through as their own is now. And now is coming very, very soon. The trio is set to release their comeback EP next week, and ready to take on a mission that will bring them to global success. With the hyping of last week plus this week’s cute promotion lined up, Danity Kane is set to debut in the Top Five of the charts, selling around 350.000 copies hopefully. And hopefully they can continue with that success this summer. Hang tight DediKated Crew, the girls are coming!
Britney started her trip to Europe again today as she stopped by "Graham Norton" for an interview and performance.
-----------------
-Your new song Gimme Your Best is doing very well here in England, what is the process of picking a lead single like?
Brit: It's a long process definitely because you make an album full of songs you love and then you have to pick one to promote the whole album with. I know some artists just make one catchy song and release that as a lead single for a bad album but I don't do that.. I make a whole album full of potential hits and then I have to pick one so it's hard but I'm happy with my decision.
-You're on the front cover of Rolling Stone's sexiest issue and people all around the world are obsessed with the pictures, your body, your image.. I mean how do you take all the positive news?
Brit: It honestly is the best feeling in the world, I have the best fans in the world! So I'm happy to make them happy and if being on the cover of Rolling Stone's sexiest issue makes them happy well then that means I'm doing my job right *giggles*.
-Your promotional single Deranged debuted at #4 with 349,000 copies sold, why not continue promoting it.. why move onto Gimme Your Best?
Brit: I was stunned to see it did that well, my whole promotional trip last week was to clear my image around the world more than anything and I feel like I've definitely done that and the song (deranged) helped me do that. Was it supposed to be anything more than that, no. I would've been happy with a top 10 seriously so to see it do so well made me very happy but it didn't change my plans at all. Gimme Your Best represents the album as a whole unlike Deranged which almost didn't make it onto the album. I'm happy with the positive response Deranged got but it was nothing more than a buzz single to clear my image and get rid of the lies in the media.
-How do you feel about Mariah's new image and song, the whole Biana alter ego and Libidinous Dream
Brit: What is it? Libidin.. what? Sorry, I don't know I haven't really heard the song before... Libidinous? Why doesn't she just say sex dream? I can't tell you if the song is good or not because I haven't really payed attention to Mariah since the 7th grade when she used to be popular. Who is Bianca?
-Your pepsi ad for the world cup is playing during every game at least twice, for most of the games it's been playing four times. The feedback is incredibly great as the commercial is just so funny! Who came up with the idea for it?
Brit: I actually did come up with the idea. Pepsi told me they wanted to do a world cup commercial with me in it so I told them I'd like to include my song in the commercial and they were totally for it. Then I really just wanted the trailer to connect to Gimme Your Best while keeping it funny. Funny commercials are the best! I mean a commercial is so much better if you can have several emotions while watching it and laughing at the end makes a commercial memorable for sure so I loved flashing the other team *giggles*.
-When is your music video coming out? I can't wait to see it.
Brit: I can't say! Definitely this week though.
-How good will the MTV documentary be?
Brit: Oh it's gonna be awesome, seriously. Yeah it's gonna be really good I mean it's such a true look at my life, I'm 100% honest, I open up about a bunch of things. It shows me behind the scenes all nervous and stuff, recording in the studio, at photoshoots dancing, it's just a really cool look at me.. behind the celebrity *giggles*.

Britney then took to the stage to perform her new hit single "Gimme Your Best"
The performance started with smoke spreading around and above the stage, a light shined on a silhouette of Britney and fire blasted up out of the stage as Britney walked to the front of the stage and male dancers began to swarm around her.
Britney pushed the male dancers away and did her own dance breaks in the center stage while singing Gimme Your Best completely live. The dancing wasn't as impressive as her MTV Movie Award performance but you could definitely hear the live vocals much more which is what her audience in the UK appreciates. Britney went center stage during the first chorus and the men began surrounding her in a circle formation, Britney did a back handspring which made them all move back. She then proceeded to do a round kick and knock one of the boys down which made many of the other guys leave the stage.
She took one of the guys and revealed his hidden camera, he was a pap trying to get an exclusive story. Britney pushed him into the audience pit and broke his camera.
Suddenly, many more paps came to the stage taking pictures of Britney as she broke their cameras and threw them away, she moved to center stage where she rose up on a sphere platform dancing to the final chorus of "Gimme Your Best" as water came down on her body.
As the platform began to move down to the stage, an unknown man appeared and beat up all of the paps. It was now just him and Britney on the stage, the unknown man turned out to be Cristiano Ronaldo! She moved in and kissed him on stage as smoke surrounded them, ending the performance.

The lyric video for "Lemonade" has been released on Danity Kane's brand-new VEVO account! Now there's just one more way y'all can stream "Lemonade" online, and you can learn the lyrics too! Using the set-up from the single cover, the three young girls resembling Dawn, Shannon and Aubrey are stunting up on the street trying to make quick bucks selling lemonade, as the words to the song appear in big words of white, gray, yellow and black. Kesha performs at iHeart Ultimate Pool Party
'Beautiful Mess' singer Kesha has performed a 9-song set live at iHeart Radio's Ultimate Pool Party.
The even hosted mega superstars like Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea, as wel as Kesha.
The presenter introduced Kesha as followed: "Our next guest is a very special one. She's just returned with her brand top 10 hit 'Beautiful Mess'. She's young. She's beautiful. She's got a new album coming real soon. And she's bagged herself a brand new man. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage the one and only KESHA!"
As the audience started clapping as loud as they could, the instrumental to 'Blow [Cirkut Remix]' started to play. Kesha was lifted from a hole in the stage, dressed in a black leather skirt with matching leather top and sporting a pink high ponytail, as the backing track played her laugh in 'Blow'. Kesha started her set with an energetic mash-up of 'Blow' and 'We R Who We R', featuring a dance breakdown, killer choreography and some fireworks at the end.
The 27-year old singer took some time to greet her audience and tell them about her next song. "The next song I'm going to sing is one all of you know, so imma need y'all to sing along with me as loud as you can! This is Tik Tok". Kesha continued to show off her improved vocals during her set as she went from high to high in 'Tik Tok', followed by her latest single 'Beautiful Mess'.
Kesha then proceeded to ask her fans whether they enjoyed themselves so far and if they were ready for another mash-up. Obviously the audience reacted with huge enthusiasm and Kesha proceeded to perform a mashup of Take It You, Your Love Is My Drug and Cannibal. Starting off with Take It Off, Kesha chanted her way through the mashup.
"When the dark of the night comes around" was enough to set the place on fire and when she changed the song to the chorus of 'Your Love Is My Drug', right before the 'Take It Off' chorus was about to happen
Kesha went on to the last part of the mashup as she sang the middle-8 of 'Your Love Is My Drug' and switched to the chorus of 'Cannibal'
Mashup lyrics
There's a place downtown,
Where the freaks all come around.
It's a hole in the wall.
It's a dirty free for all.
When the dark
Of the night comes around.
That's the time,
That the animal comes alive.
Looking for
Something wild.
And now we lookin' like pimps
In my gold Trans-Am.
Got a water bottle full of whiskey
In my handbag.
Got my drunk text on
I'll regret it in the mornin'
But tonight
I don't give a
I don't give a
I don't give a
Because your love, your love, your love is my drug
Your love, your love, your love
(I said)
Your love, your love, your love is my drug
Your love, your love, your love
Won't listen to any advice
Momma's telling me I should think twice
But left to my own devices,
I'm addicted – it's a crisis
My friends think I've gone crazy
My judgment's gettin' kinda hazy
My sleaze is gonna be affected
If I keep it up like a love sick crack head
What you got, boy, is hard to find
I think about it all the time
I'm all strung out, my heart is fried
I just can't get you off my mind!
Because your love, your love, your love is my drug
Your love, your love, your love
(I said)
Your love, your love, your love is my drug
Your love, your love, your love
I don't care what people say
The rush is worth the price I pay
I get so high when you're with me
But crash and crave you when you leave
Hey, so I got a question
Do you wanna have a slumber party in my basement?
Do I make your heart beat like an 808 drum
Is my love your drug?
Your drug?
Huh, your drug?
Huh, your drug?
Is my love your drug?
Because....
I eat boys up, breakfast and lunch
Then when I'm thirsty, I drink their blood
Carnivore animal, I am a cannibal
I eat boys up, you better run
I am cannibal (cannibal, cannibal, I am)
I am cannibal (cannibal) (I'll eat you up) (I am)
I am cannibal (cannibal, cannibal, I am)
I am cannibal (cannibal) (I'll eat you up)
Ohohwoahohwoah [8x]
I am cannibal
I am cannibal (I'll eat you up)
I am cannibal
I am cannibal (I'll eat you up)
I love you
(Hahaha)
I warned you
(Rah!)
After this energetic and choreoheavy mashup, which included over 30 back-up dancers, Kesha slowed down a bit as she performed the "deconstructed" version of Die Young, whilst sitting down on a chair, followed by her "Animal-ballad" 'Hungover'. Kesha then moved on to th next song, as she welcomed her friend Juicy J to the stage to perform Crazy Kids with her.
Kesha then drank a bit and asked for her bodyguards to get someone from the audience. His friends had written Kesha a letter about him. His name was Jonathan and he had just came out as a homosexual. This led to him being abandoned by his family, except for his brother who was with him on stage and most of his friends. He had survived a battle against cancer, but was yet to overcome the struggle of losing everyone because of his sexuality. He was bullied and was going through a depression. In this letter his friend explained the situation and asked Kesha to give him some support as she was his idol.
Kesha of course called him to the stage, along with his friends. She asked him if it was okay if she told the audience about his situation, which he told was alright. Kesha told Jonathan how proud she was that he had come out of the closet, especially with the risk of losing the people you love. She told Jonathan his former friends and family must've been the most stupid people ever as they dumped such an amazing and humble young man, because of their own narrow minds. Kesha then praised his friends and brother for sticking by him in this rough time and asked them to support Jonathan in every way possible.
To finish it off Kesha sang a mashup of 'Animal' and 'Love Into The Light' for Jonathan, which made him tear up and seek support from Kesha. She continued to hug him as she ended the mashup and thanked him for being so brave and promising him he would receive tickets for the next tour and a signed CD from her once it was released. The audience gave a massive applause as Jonathan and his friends left the stage and Kesha performed the solo version of Timber. With this setlist Kesha showed off her vocal abilities, dancing abilities, her humble mind and of course her ability to completely blow the audience its mind!

Mariah pioneered that shade when she first shaded Madonna back in 1996 And when Mariah is 29, it was during the year 1999
I know I stole that line from Mariah she was talking about Madonna with the "I haven't paid attention to her since the 7th grade when she used to be popular" I figured.. smh.. hdu! or should I say.. how dare mariah
This morning, our fave blue-eyed Latina beauty visited the Wendy studios! It was none other than the "voice of our generation" herself: Christina Aguilera who had recently birthed her precious daughter, Olivia Aguilera-Rutler. The 'Beautiful singer' also wedded her long-time boyfriend of 4 years, Matt Rutler, and the trio (with Aguilera's 6 year old son, Max Liron Bratman) moved into new surroundings as they said goodbye to their lush $13.5m house situated within Beverly Hills.
Xtina dropped by and greeted us with SUCH a mystifying performance of her unique lead single "Nighthawks" off of her upcoming 8th studio album, which is currently not titled as of yet. Christina riffed her way through the melodic neo-soul track with untouchable charisma and soul. Not much is know about Christina's future musical adventures. Having said that, the hype and buzz is definitely there so we don't doubt Christina will be met with unprecedented success once again.
Unfortuanately, the crimson starlet could not have a full-length "kiki" with Wendy. It's understandable though since being a mother-of-two has taken a toll on her yet she still strives through it all and shows the heck out! ESPECIALLY when it comes down to the music, at the end of the day. However, she did promise to come back "soon soon". We look forward to having you back, Christina! Make sure to keep doing your thang.
Aguilera's lead single "Nighthawks" is now available for purchase.
