The UK version is every night, I watched the two launch episodes and then the next one was the nominations/Battle of the Block episode which I'm guessing was not the next day, so does it only air a few nights a week?
Also, how does the eviction format work? I think I understand the Head of House thing - every week there is a competition to decide who is HoH, who then decides which two face eviction and the housemates vote for which they want to be evicted, is that right? I get the new twist with two HoH but I didn't understand how the one who loses could be evicted, is it not just the two that lost the challenge who face eviction?

Big Brother US airs on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Thursdays (iirc) are the live nights. The other two nights show the highlights of the past few days. There are also live feeds (which you can see in the OP) which air 24/7 except during competitions and diary room footage.
The format is as follows:
Head of Household - all houseguests (except previous HOH) compete to become the HOH. The HOH is immune from nomination and will then nominates any TWO houseguests for eviction.
Power of VETO - The HOH, the two nominees and THREE other houseguests selected by random draw compete to win the POV. The POV does not have to be used, but if it is used, it will take ONE person off the chopping block. The HOH then has to select a replacement nominee.
Eviction Night - Each houseguest votes privately to EVICT one of the post-veto nominees. The HOH and the two nominees do not vote. If there is a tie, the HOH publicly breaks the tie. The evicted houseguest leaves immediately.
BB16 Changes:
There are 2 HOHs. Therefore 4 nominees.
The 2 duos of nominees battle in the battle of the block. The winning duo is SAFE for eviction that week (cannot be replaced by POV iirc). The HOH who nominated them loses his HOH status. 1 HOH and 2 nominees remain.
Therefore if POV is used, the current HOH can "backdoor" the previous HOH and he could be evicted on Thursday.
I live in the UK, but I definitely prefer the US version. It's a lot more strategical imo and I like that.
