but what's the difference between "Fullmetal Alchemist" and "Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood"

i've been looking it up and its confusing me...something about the manga?? which should I watch?

If you want to watch both start with Full Metal Alchemist. This one follows the manga about halfway and then create its own storyline, which is a good one. Brotherhood follows the manga all the way and is the better one, storywise and animation wise (its newer). If you watch Brotherhood first you probably would not enjoy the other one at all but its a good anime still, I enjoyed both a lot but Brotherhood is the superior one

i'm gonna follow your advice and start with just full metal alchemist first then do brotherhood. that's strange they follow the manga then do their own thing though...i always wait until I finish an anime to research about it, so i'll find out why it's the way it is eventually.

Its that way because the old season caught up to close with the manga so they had to end it in a different way because the manga was not close to bring done XD

The anime was amazing, I didn't expect so much slayage.

I wish they did another season but that is more than unlikely to happen, lemme just read the manga.

It's good, but not the best shonen around tbh. It's not as captivating as the others, doesn't have much character development aside from some select ones and there's so many people I don't even care/remember the name it's ridiculous.
I'd say it's kinda generic and cookie-cutter, there's always a bad guy/guild and they have to defeat them to save the world! lol. Also people rarely die.

I enjoy it though and would recommend I guess, but stuff like Hunter x Hunter, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, etc are just better.
