Because she only made it through because of her talent. She's Australian. She's white. Nicki barley made it into hip hop herself. If you think she'd still be here if she couldn't write, that's just delusional.
Minaj took the head writer credit on Starships, yet write 10% of the song, and didn't even come up with the song. So yeah, she does take credit, even if she admits she didn't. She still takes the credit.
