It is completely subjective and everybody interprets it in their own way. Somehow if they say that Britney inspired this or that work of theirs, I am tempted to believe it cuz you know, they probably know what inspired them better than I do.

Britney could've sparked a drive within an artist. Doesn't necessarily mean they wanted to emulate her music, vision and personality (who would anyway ). Tbh, I believe it when pop girls say stuff like that. Britney was a huge force in the early 00's. It was like Gaga '09 times three.
