Agreed. She has so much better material, but if this is what it takes for more mainstream exposure then so be it. And honestly, it's less disposable than most of mainstream pop right now anyhow, which is refreshing.

Girls Chase Boys is a decent song. Not my fave by her, but its above average for me. Tbh most of her other songs before this album is unsuable for me besides a few from human again

She should get that hit song though, she really doesn't have one

So actually I prefer the rest of the album than this song, but it's still a good song. This album is more upbeat while her previous albums have like an acquired taste to it.
I just want her to get a damn hit, I am tired of other songs getting not much deserved pop airplay.

That is so odd considering that Human Again is regarded as one of her weakest albums by a lot of people. I suppose it makes sense since she started incorporating more traditional pop production in some of the more recent music, so I can see why people would gravitate more towards her recent releases. I love Lights Out though because I think it's a good marriage of her inherent quirky styles and more accessible production.
