I think Rhythmic is playing pop songs more and more.

Rhythmic plays pure pop songs much less than it used to. Back in 2012 often half the top 10 was dance songs. Now nearly every song they play is urban or urban-pop (including most of the ones you listed).
- Turn Down For What is a hip hop song (specifically trap). It's just an instrumental version of what people like 2 Chainz or Juicy J normally rap on (and there's a remix with them), and this song is getting urban airplay too.
- Not a Bad Thing is kind is quite R&B sounding, and Justin Timberlake has had lots of rhythmic hits, so I can understand it
- Never heard Rude in full, but it's quite reggae-sounding, so I can understand that being played
- All Of Me is kind of strange, but it's by John Legend and was an urban radio hit too. Bruno Mars and Rihanna had rhythmic hits with piano ballads too.
- Latch is very R&B/soul sounding thanks to the production and Sam Smith's vocals. So I can understand that. The urban stations in the UK play Latch and most of Disclosure's songs.
- Dark Horse has a hip hop/trap beat (much like Turn Down For What). It might be a Katy Perry song, but musically it's more like 2 Chainz/Juicy J music. This song also went top 10 on urban.
- Team's beat has a hip hop influenced rhythm. And Royals was massive on rhythmic (and urban), so it's understandable that her follow-up would get some support
- Birthday is disco-sounding (like Get Lucky and Treasure which were big rhythmic hits), but I think the main reason they're playing it is because it's following Dark Horse which got #1. Plus, it's not THAT high anyway.
Really, the only song that shouldn't be there imo is Summer. That song is literally pure pop, there's no reason for it to be so high. Very suspicious. The rest of the songs are fine imo, the format has improved a lot over a few years ago.
