50 First Dates: C+
I've seen bits and pieces of this before but have never actually seen the whole thing. It's a very cute romantic comedy with two great leads and an interesting premise - but it still has its flaws. The film has a few awkward moments where things are supposed to be funny, but end up not getting a laugh out of me. Plus there are two characters that never seem to go away that provide those awkward moments, and annoyed me in at least more than one way. Meanwhile, the comedy isn't too funny and the romance isn't too serious (most of the time,) which leaves everything straight in the middle - hence, my average grade.
Blue Jasmine A- . Stellar performance by Cate Blanchet. Incredible movie!
Enemy C+. It was a good movie but even though I got it and understood what it really was about it could have been better.
Maleficent B+. Visually stunning, nice story and Angeline gave an incredible performance. She's so expressive and her character was just so tender and yet she was the villain. It was a joy to see her as this incredible heroin-villain.
Her- A+. The cutest movie ever and yet it makes you think a lot. I loved it so much. I laughed and cried as if I was living it. Scarlett did the best acting in the movie and we could only hear her voice. Amy and Rooney served life too. Joaquin delivered in every possible way but my congrats have to go to Scarlett. Amazing, incredible movie! Everyone should watch this masterpiece!!!
A young drifter working on a river barge disrupts his employers' lives while
hiding the fact that he knows more about a dead woman found in the river than he admits.
a well made drama with fantastic performances from Ewan McGregor and Emily Mortimer.
the movie is very flashback heavy and at first it was confusing because I didn't realize
some scenes were flashbacks, but once I got the hang of it
I couldn't shift my eyes off the screen. the scene when he rapes his gf is utterly disturbing.
