I had to, J-esper, I was watching some old clips and I was annoyed so I shared my opinion here
Basically, if Boomerang got to #6 with really no big promo except the LDFCR performance, and is a way weaker song IMO (and GP's as well), I see no problem why YL couldn't get top 5 without big promo. Imagine it rising on the charts weeks after the release lol
"She (Cheryl) is gorgeous and when you look into her eyes, everyone can fall in love with her!"
Class vs Jealousy a la Nicole vs Cheryl
Imagine you have good, well paid job that you enjoy, you earn money for doing something you're good at and for doing something you love, and you're sharing this time with your friends.
Imagine a fellow co-worker is convincing your boss to fire your ass, so he/she can take your position.
Imagine the boss is firing you and you become unemployed.
How would you feel?
Cheryl has full rights to be mad. She's justified.

So she should be mad at her boss not at Nicole. She is so immature
End of story.

It's part of boss' responsibility to hire and fire workers.
While relationship between co-workers is different, more of a friends-like, not exactly like friends, but there's certain level of trust and solidarity between co-workers.
She can hold grudge against both of them, but if anything - less against the boss.
"so immature", again stupid post of you.
Imagine then you have a girlfriend in whom you are in love with.
Then some dude comes in, seduces her and then she breaks up with you.
Would you be cool with him? Seeing him holding your love and imagining what he's doing with her at nights.

There's no such thing if you're in the business .. She still has a record label, with or without The X Factor. But it does have a fat pay check though.

There are two possible scenarios in my opinion:
1. Simon saw that Cheryl was really uncomfortable and 'not there' during the X Factor auditions and he realized he was making a bad decision so he chickened out and offered the job again to Nicole (Nicole and Cheryl were both in the running for the job before Cheryl got it). If that's the case then it would be Simon's fault for doing it behind Cheryl's back since Nicole is in no position to talk about it to Cheryl. It's an employer-employee responsibility.
2. Nicole was working an angle and really did try to get Cheryl fired and take her job by convincing Simon so the odd whispering between Nicole and Simon behind Cheryl's back was true. This is the version of the events according to Cheryl and if that's true then shame on Nicole. I love Nicole but if that's true then anybody defending her is a terrible person.
But the thing is we still don't know what really happened though. Unless Nicole and Simon talk about their version of events, we will never know.
I highly doubt Nicole was convincing Simon to give her the job, she was even happy when speaking about her job as the host... and my God I really shouldn't have brought this up once again I swear I won't do it again unless something happens AGAIN
The reason why Cheryl doesn't like Nicole is not because she lost the job to her. Cheryl never liked Nicole. Remember that interview in 2006?
Plus, she's not mad with Simon, is she? Cheryl is so fake (in my opinion)... She plays the victim all the time. She made a big deal about being kicked out off the show, made everyone who liked her dislike the X Factor for doing this "mean" thing to her and look where she is now... lol
That's a matter of taste. I agree with you YL is better, but oh well. I was just talking in a general way. YL will never reach #1 or even top #3 if she doesn't have some proper promo. That is what I meant with it ended up like it

It wasn't just Cheryl's book that gave the account of Nicole convincing Simon to give her Cheryl's job. Tom Bower's a respected journalist was writing a book about Simon's life and Simon gave him full access and in depth interviews about things, he was their for the initial auditions of X Factor USA and writes in his book how Nicole, during a break, took Simon behind some curtains and pitched for Cheryl's job.
I like Nicole, but she ain't innocent in all that went down. I found the extract from his book.
Quote:
During a break in the show co-host Nicole Scherzinger, who had filled in as a judge for Dannii in London when she had her baby, approached Cowell.
“In here,” she said diving through a curtain into a back room.
For ten minutes she pitched for Cheryl’s job. On the way to get a flight back to London Cowell wrestled with Cheryl’s fate. He said: “It’s hard here, she has to start again. In London she’s like Princess Diana, but here every Brit that’s hired is hired as a complete dick and Cheryl is the first one who’s nice.”
