It's likely that the moderator who warned you for the Usher-related comment saw it more as flamebait; perception of the severity of comments often differs by moderator.

Vulgar is reserved for sexually-charged comments; graphic is for highly disturbing comments; offensive is reserved for slurs and highly derogatory terms, and such content. Staying within the rules of SYG while still dragging is perfectly doable yet.
