Ummmm so on one hand it was amazing. On the other I am pissed off with where/how it ended. Narrative structures are meant to follow the "Introduction > Problem > Resolution/Solution > Conclusion" formula. This movie ended right at the peak of the 'problem' part.
What happened with the kid who tried to commit suicide? Did he wake up? Was the other kid found out/charged? Or did the dad delete all the data? What happened to the pedophile ring? Did they escape or did the FBI find them? Did that woman have sex with that teen? Was he underage and lying about his age or was he one of the older ones? If he was really underage did she get charged? Did she get charged for soliciting a minor because of the payments? What happened to the couple whose baby died? Did they find the man who was fraudulently charging their credit cards?
I get that wasn't the point of the movie. The point of the movie was to highlight how much social media is impacting and affecting our lives. How it changes the way we interact with each other. And how much it complicates everything. And that we need to be careful online.
Even still, when you become that emotionally invested in a movie for 2 hours, it'd be nice to get some answers and know what ended up happening to the characters.
