It was well received and loved here too.

Applause was a cute and inoffensive song that the GP liked. DWUW followed that trend and I think the GP loved it more than Applause, the song - but this is old and boring tea now - deserved a great video, but not a controversal one.

The GP was really get into her, slowly. Then the ugly looks and GUY happened.

But Applause and DWUW showed us that the GP doesn't "hate" her, they just want from her cute bops.
I really think people behind the aura ( ) love her but they're too ashamed to stan openly for her. And that's the worst thing that can happen to a popstar.

When it comes down to it, all Team Gaga has to do is get their **** together and follow the basic formula:

1) Good pop songs + 2) Appealing visuals + 3) Effective promo.

BTW had 1 and 3. AP had moments of 1 and 3 as well as 1 and 2, but was mostly just 1. TF and TFM had all 3, losing 2 (for some) circa Alejandro.

They fumbled through BTW, but still managed to catch a lot of success before it slipped through their fingers. With AP it felt like they had a plan, got distracted and dropped the ball - only picking it back up again when nobody wanted to play anymore. Hopefully now they see they can't rest on their laurels and really have to try damn hard to keep playing the game. (Well that analogy was all over the place.)
