Let's say she'll release the album in December. She should be able to record 12 songs in 6 months, no? Wasn't she finished recording Breakaway in a month or two?
It's sure not impossible to still release a album this year even with a just born baby. The question is if she wants too or not. I think she does. I honestly would prefer for her to promote WIR again this year, and also maybe re-release Breakaway for its upcoming 10 year anniversary. Similar to how Alicia Keys re-released Songs In A Minor.
