All this 'the album sounds like one note', yeah people said the same about Born To Die for the first few days. Listen to the album a few times, let it sink in, and you'll learn to love it.

If I still feel such a strong connection to the album in a month's time, I won't hesitate to say it's my favourite album of all time. It's topping Born This Way, but I'll wait to see how it holds up before completely comitting.

All of Lana's songs still sound the same to me, but that's the beauty of her music. I love them. I want more and more of the same thing from her honestly!

But actually BTD (all sound the same) but they do not sound like Ultraviolence (all sound the same). So yeah... LOL.

I bolded the only tracks worth listening to. The album just becomes a mess after Sad Girl.

I don't think it's weak per se, it's just not very exciting. You have to be in a mellowing mood to listen and enjoy. But I agree that it's kind of front loaded, the first 6 tracks are my favorites and 7-11 are weaker in my opinion (besides TOW and the bonus tracks)

Very opposite for me. I don't like Cruel World or Shades of Cool. West Coast isn't bad but I omit it from my playlist so I guess that means I don't like it enough either.

I LOVE that everyone has a different opinion on this album! Just goes to show that she made an interesting piece of work that has tracks that appeal to different people.
