Which album do you think is Mariah's most liberating? I think most people would say Butterfly but I see a big sense of restraint still on the album. The Emancipation of Mimi truly sounds like Mariah at her most comfortable.

i would say Butterfly just because she changed everything, from her image to her music... but Mimi was also liberating, I think she realy enjoyed doing that album

But didn't Mariah say Butterfly was the first album she was 100% content with?

I'd say so, too. It's the album she could entirely do what she wanted for the very first time, sonically and image-wise. Also, freedom and letting go of the past are one of the main themes. It feels, however, very liberating to me listening to "Butterfly".
Can I just say how much I love all of you guys! Lambs are always relaxed, never too anxious to defend their fave... like I can't with some navy members and other stans I ain't gonna leave this base ever!
oh three mimi songs on radio... hmmm Honey, Vision of Love, Touch My Body, but tbh i would die to hear anything from her these days radio ignores her in this hell I'm living... when I was in US last summer they also ignored Beautiful, damn cape cod radio ****...
