Depression usually gets worse for people when they get everything they want but it all turns out to not be as great as they thought it would be and they continue being unhappy. Like some people think if they get a lot of money or the job they want that life will be perfect, then they get it and life still sucks, so they feel like there's nothing that could ever make them happy if even the thing they wanted most failed to work.

I've had depression, I've been there, but not once did I go 'yeah I want to kill myself and whatever cause you know life's just not fun and blah' to others, like it's a normal thinking progress.
Seek help.

Do you understand that you're implying everyone else's experience w/ depression is the exact same as yours?

Does it make you mad because she has money, fame, power & she's still not happy? That's not the way it's supposed to work, right? Maybe being a celebrity & living that lifestyle isn't gratifying to some people, especially after they've had a taste of it.
I think Lana probably has a lot of psychological **** to work through due to her early years, but from what we've seen from before she even became famous, she's always been an eccentric, sensitive & creative person. I'm sure she's grateful for her fans' support.
Depression is real, you know. It's not just that feeling you twinks get when you run out of lube in the bathroom at ARTRAVE. Let the girl live.

 sis
Poor Lana, hopefully she'll be OK. I know that this won't make her lose fans, tumblr will love this, I already see the quotes with flowers on it

I think about her live shows, such as the outdoor one she's due to play later that night, during which she'll respond to the constant screams – her fans are too busy taking photos to applaud – by letting her band jam away for 20 minutes while she wanders the photo pit, posing for selfies with fans in the front row. Surely during those moments she must love what she does.
"No," she says.

This is really sad, I thought she loved her fans.

A lot of you forget how many artist get depressed after they experience fame. Kelly after winning Idol was crying on national television because she never gets to see her friends and after Breakaway she had a meltdown and wrote what it seems a suicide type of letter to God. We don't live in this world so we have no place to judge. She is depressed and she needs help. I really hope it will get better for her.

Not sure what's going on with her but she seems overwhelmed
She may need to go somewhere to clear her mind and find her center
I hope she finds happiness and or peace

No, but I am applying that there is no need to drag others into your own problems.
There are kids watching her every move, suicidal kids, and comments like these aren't going to help her, her environment or her fans.
It's just logical thinking, but I guess that's not 'artsy' enough.

I can empathize with her only so far. It's hard to feel for someone who both refuses to try to get better (Assuming she's not in therapy) and glamorizes their misfortunes and then complains about them.
Also, no shade, but what bad things have happened to her in her life? I don't know much of her history aside from he controversy about her dad being wealthy..

If she is suffering from depression she needs to seek help. The problem here is that I know some depressed people wear their mental disorder as a badge of honor. They act like depression is something "cool" to have or just normalize it.
I've had severe clinical depression and I was at some point like Lana (not the wanted to be dead thing though), I was like glamorizing my mental state. I never once wished I were dead. I sought help to get better, but it took to me like more than 6 months for me to do it.

you're joking right? you're a "huge fan" but you're just gonna sit here and ignore whatever she may be going through mentally?

When did she say that she is a role model for kids with mental issues?

Like how disgusting.

Yes!
I'd never imagined that i would read such hate comments from a music forum basically frequented by gay teens/young who lives in the closet.
I tought people here would be more mature and understand the "human" side of everyone. It's not that you have to be "sweet" and don't say nothing, but the level of some responses here
No wonder why there's so much homophobic people out there, the hate is in ourselves, and it's very comfortable to sit down on your chair and spread your poison through internet.
You're really URL BADMAN.

She was an alcoholic by age 18, as noted in the article. She's also suffered with drug abuse during her life too.

This tbh. Celebs sometimes also give little/subtle hints like how Mariah did when she added "Looking In" in the "Daydream" album at the time. The label would not suspect a thing and at the same time she could speak out quietly.
Back on topic, I really hope she'll get better
