The DA new characters were actually good though: Kenshi, Li Mei, Bo Racho, Frost, Knitara

I'd throw Meat & Sareena in there also since it was Meat's first appearance as an actual character w/ his own moves & Sareena's first appearance in a main fighting game (not a port).

I'm just here for an almost entirely fresh roster. "They can be ressurected, it's a fighting game!" has nothing to do with it. Think of it from a marketing stand point. If you use the same characters over and over, your sales WILL drop. People don't want to pay 60 bucks for another MK9 when they can buy that for 20

But MK9 was basically an MK1-3 for the new generation. MK9 is also the best selling game in the series. MK fans love their iconic characters.
I'm not apposed to a huge new roster, but the general public loves the classic fighters. They aren't going anywhere, even if they don't make the cut this time around.

Jarek & Reiko, yes, but Kai has a great story and can easily become a force in the Mortal Kombat universe!

I don't know man, I was loyal to hotaru (idk he just seemed so badass!) and he was how I found out about the order realm too (like are there any other characters based in that realm? it doesn't seem as relavent as earth/outworld/choas/edenia?) would be cool if we do ever see the less involved characters come back and slay these newbz haha
