I did in-game runs with Eeveelution teams, flop Pokémon teams and monotype teams. Anything works for an in-game team tbh, don't worry about it being unbalanced
Retro can tell you a Vivllion team does NOT work for an in-game team.
I usually just catch what ever I find in the wild and feel like using. I hope they keep the exp all again. It was SO useful and made having a rotatable team so do-able without the need to annoyingly grind.
Well yeah, a team with 6 of the same flop Pokémon most likely wouldn't do well, but seeing the options for their ORAS team they have nothing to worry about.

I wish thy'd introduce more normal form changes. I find it odd that some Mega Evolutions look more like actual evolutions... but Keldeo got a minor aesthetic change as a form change... should've been a Mega Keldeo. Also, Hoenn is the region where form changes were introduced... I'd really adore if they introduced more form changes... maybe for Castform.
Yasss, I really need them to finally add that Ground type Castform. Sure, Sandstorms aren't really a weather type, but Weather Ball actually changes to Ground in a Sandstorm, so it's time for ha to get STAB on it.
There's a few things I desperately want from ORAS, although most of ya'll who play competitively will disagree with me. I just play the game for the sake of enjoying it (hence my teams normally are eeveelutions or monotypes; or based on anime characters / gym leaders).
I want the EXP share to return from XY. It was so useful in raising levels that I didn't actually have to go and battle like 20 audinos to raise one level...
I also want the gym and level up structure to return. I really liked the 2-3 pokemon per gym, 4 in E4 and 6 for Champion. Perhaps have an easy mode and a hard mode; easy with the pokemon above as stated and hard with the levels slightly higher and 3-4 in gyms and 5 in E4. (But make it available from the start).
I need to be able to customize my female characters, since I always use mah gurls. They need to look flawless when destroying enemies.
I want Johto starters. My first two playthrough will use Hoenn only (one for OR and one for AS), but afterwards I want Johto starters like the Kanto ones in XY. Kanto and Johto >>>>>>>>>>>>
Similarly, I hope the legendaries come like in HGSS; both Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza. Then have either Lugia or Ho-Oh, and the Johto dogs/cats? running riot. (and finally give me a ****ing mew event so I don't have to use thisJjapanese cheated mew)
Excited for the mystery locations on the map (especially that purple aura). My excitement is growing about this game everyday so I can't wait. I'm pressed we get the release one week later tho. smh.
What if Diancie is linked to the origins of Mega Evolution, and Steven Stone is on a quest to discover the connection he she has to it... her pink diamonds do resemble that large stone in X&Y that holds importance to Mega Evolution.
Also, what if depending on the version you get, Rayquaza wll have two forms. Alpha Rayquaza & Omega Rayquaza... the forms he used to defeat Primal Groudon and Kyogre in the past. I'd be here for that.
Well yeah, a team with 6 of the same flop Pokémon most likely wouldn't do well, but seeing the options for their ORAS team they have nothing to worry about.

These two extremely powerful Pokémon clashed in an epic battle that once sent Groudon into a long slumber within the magma beneath the planet’s crust and drove Kyogre into a deep sleep at the bottom of the ocean floor. The awesome transformation is a result of Primal Reversion, when Groudon and Kyogre reclaim their original power from nature’s energy and obtain even greater power than they already have. The power within Primal Reversion is still being discovered, as well as what connection may lie between Primal Reversion and Mega Evolution.
Primal Groudon is brimming with energy, which pours from its body as magma. The magma burns at such an extreme temperature that its body is always shimmering ruby red from the haze of its heat, giving off light in the darkness. Through Primal Reversion, Primal Groudon becomes much larger and adds Fire type to its Ground type, raising the power of Fire-type moves it can learn. Primal Reversion greatly boosts Primal Groudon’s Attack. Its Ability may get a boost during this epic transformation, too.
Primal Kyogre, a Water-type Pokémon, is awash with energy that spills from its body as seawater. Its blue skin shines like a sapphire and is half-translucent like the sea. Primal Reversion greatly boosts Primal Kyogre’s Special Attack. Its Ability also seems to get a boost, although this information cannot yet be confirmed. Primal Kyogre is massive, growing to be more than twice Kyogre’s size.
