If C2C is coming in/before September, then they probably wouldn't want #5 out too. It'll be confusing and inconsistent, not to mention tiring for her.
I could see a feature coming, but the Britney rumour doesn't quite make sense considering her album is unlikely out anytime soon either. Madonna is more likely in terms of timing, but that's asking for a lot of pride swallowing. Maybe it'll be a Roxie/Velma situation - putting the stunt of a collab ahead of personal feelings?
Regardless. I like the sound of FUNK as a single/song, with 'get the funk outta my face' as a hook/lyric. Just hope she hurries it up or she may completely miss the disco trend. Especially if Madonna is going there.

I agree, I don't really see a new album until next year tbh. As far as C2C I don't think she herself is doing anything major for it but a few performances and maybe a few studio videos like she did with Lady is a tramp.
As far as the disco thing, besides Get Lucky are we sure there's even a disco trend?
I feel like people are just saying that there is one because of Get Lucky and Blurred Lines. Birthday has a very retro sound but I wouldn't call it disco. I've noticed though that a lot of the songs becoming huge hits have very brassy sounding saxophone hooks, she should definitely try something like that. Madonna seems to be moving for a more forward sounding EDM album with Avicii, Diplo, and possibly Disclosure.
