Wrecking Ball is the second single and sixth track off of Bangerz. Wrecking Ball managed to hit #1 in over 10 countries and top 5 in another 17 (as well as top 10 in another 4). Of those 10 countries it hit #1, it hit #1 in the US - her first #1 there. It stayed at #1 in the US for 2 weeks and then returned for a third week 10 weeks later - breaking the record for longest gap between #1 stays in one single chart run. The song has sold nearly 3.5 million copies in the US and nearly 5.9 million worldwide. The video broke the record for most views in twenty-four hours with 19.3 million views as well as the fastest video to reach 100 million views (6 days). The song debuted at #1 in the same week her album did in the UK, becoming the first artist of the year to top both charts at the same time. Wrecking Ball is the nineteenth song performed at the Bangerz Tour, she also performed the song at the 2013 American Music Awards, her MTV Unplugged Special, the Bambi Awards, the World Music Awards, Saturday Night Live, X Factor UK, among others.
