We all know who she was talking about, why are we playing games? If she's not gonna apologize then she just needs to nut up and take these lashings.
|
What does she have to apologize for...she said she stands by her opinion, she just never singled out one particular person (which she tweeted oringially), which is how the interview was shaped to make us believe she did

TLC was the complete opposite of a sexual image.

And for them to claim to be feminists and stand for female empowerment, and then turn around and be critical for a woman being free and expressing herself? You don't see the hypocrisy in that?

They could have been talking about anyone but I guess. This is like when the Navy assume any subliminal tweet or lyric about "hos" is a shot at Rihanna. What does that say about Rihanna
|
You are really trying hard and not getting anywhere with this when people have ears and eyes and can view the video for themselves. It's not even that hard to interpret better yet interpretation is not even needed with this, it's just blatant.

Chili and T-Boz need to stop. They were controversial for their time as well. They had sexually suggestive lyrics and were banned in several countries. Because they didn't say her name, they probably were not even thinking about her and being that Beyonce ALWAYS keeps them in their broke ass feelings, they were more than likely referring to her.
|
Lol. TLC was controversial because they spoke out and stood up for issues that were considered taboo at the time, ie, women empowerment, safe sex, etc. They weren't controversial for nudity or having a sexual image.

Lol no. Because not every feminist agrees that showing off the goods = lifting up women. Feminism is more about progressing as women and being seen more as people than sexual objects. Some could argue that displaying yourself in certain ways constantly is just encouraging sexual objectification.

TLC was the complete opposite of a sexual image. I don't think they were referring to sexuality itself but more so how you present yourself to people.
|
Please. TLC talked about sex and how they like for a man to have a big penis and all during interviews back in the day. They had a sexual image as well.

What did she say?
Also, generally speaking, you guys have to stop taking criticism as a 'drag'.

That would be relevant ig the interviwe was posted in it's entirety without being edited but becsuse it wasn't, the context created by the interviewer is wat the viewer will hold onto

I think she needs to stop jumping to conclusions too quick but if that's what the navy likes I guess.

Um what? TLC's ENTIRE image was the complete opposite of sexual. That was their entire ****ing thing. They wore baggy/mens clothes throughout majority of their career purposely. Even when they started maturing, they went from wearing baggy sweatsuits to slightly showing their stomachs in baggy sweat suits, etc. Their IMAGE was never sexual, even WHEN they were singing sexual songs.

Lol. They most certainly didn't. Their entire image was tomboyish. Talking about sex doesn't mean you have a sexual image. Jill Scott has songs about sex...Adele has songs about sex...they may have discussed it but their IMAGE was not sexual in the least.

This is what T-Boz said when she defended Miley Cyrus:
Quote:
“Let’s be real, girls have been naked and doing stuff like this”
“People have been doing this for the end of the time, so why are they riding Miley so hard [when] … a lot of them have been doing the same thing?”

TLC wore bra tops with bagging pants (still sexual), they done topless photo shoots, they had sexual songs (very sexual songs). During their first album they weren't that sexual. But that went out of the window during CrazySexyCool. They stood up for something, but to sit up here and say TLC weren't sexual is a lie. Mostly all the groups from the 90s were sexual. + TLC we're not like no damn Jill Scott or Adele so don't even lol.

1 - I need a crump, tight *****, make seven figures
Laced with the platinum not the silver ****, n***a
Exhale cigar, ten inch or bigger
A "know how to lick it and stick it", whut whut
[T-Boz]
Now don't get me wrong cause I'm not a ho
But I know what I got you can't handle though
(Cuz what?)
Cause only real n**gas (What?)
You don't know
So what you gon' do?
What you gonna do? (wha wha wha)
2 - Ni**a, you must be crazy
What you gonna do with a bitch like me
I'm so good at being bad
I'm the bitch you never had
I epitomize the word sexy
Ni**a, you must be crazy
What you gonna do with a bitch like me
Cuz my puzz so tight
Make you *** all night
And you can't handle me, baby
Not sexual huh?
