I just read the last few pages. Wow, so sad that so many members are already freaking out over an inevitable underperformance comparated to Born To Die.

Of course she won't get the same numbers and it won't have the same longevity as she's nowhere as big as during the BTD days...

And as many want to talk about numbers, don't expect more than 200k WW first weak if you don't want to be disappointed.

I don't understand this. She was UNKNOWN back then.

She's huge NOW compared to back then.

The under performance is due to her music...end of.

Had she released a radio friendly song instead of (West Coast or Shades), she would have been SCALPing every bitch right now!! It was a missed opportunity.

But it was also not her intention to be commercially successful. She wants to appeal to pitchfork instead.

I thought the same BEFORE but idk her recent interviews..got me thinking otherwise.

She has this personality complex disorder thing going on...her OBVIOUS urge to prove people wrong.

Ehm, maybe she just wants to make the music she loves? Ever thought about that? In the end it is her name that is on the CD.

IWhy are you so bitter just because she is not making music for your personal enjoyment? Move on if it is that bad.

I live in Europe and I can tell you that she was everywhere when BTD was released: on radio with VG, on TV, magazines... More people know here now but Ultraviolence has definitely less exposure.

And no music isn't the problem. WC is one of her best song and doesn't change too much from the BTD sound. I would have hate her if she released commercial track as first single.

And we should stop talking about iTunes pre-orders positions, it doesn't really mean anything.
