Is "Music of the Sun" a stain on Rihanna's career?
It lacked impact, didn't win any awards, and has only sold 1 million copies even after all these years.
People don't talk about it, even here on ATRL, it failed to stand through the test of time.
So... do you consider MOTS a stain in her career?

No, I consider it a criminally underrated album. The title track alone is some of Rihanna's best work to-date.

i was just listening to this album yesterday. i like it and i know people that prefer the "old" rihanna. not everything has to be a commercial success. if anything it shows her growth from the beginning. also she has redeemed herself ten fold.

agreed! overall music of the sun is a better album. aglm has too much filler.

Music of the Sun is cute, esp. the title track. I kinda like to consider the Rihanna who did this as a different singer, though.
