This seems more of a Kesha song than it does an Avril song… I mean, it's basically "party party party, ooh, hot guy, party party party, dirty rooms and people, party party and more party!" I mean, Avril is a spunky, rocker rebel with a don't care attitude, and I just couldn't get the feel of Avril from this song… If you know your artist well and what they usually sing, then it should be easy to make a hit song for them. I don't think Avril would take this, sorry…

They're different types of rock, sure, but I don't see much difference lyrically.

When it comes to writing for a band or a group, you can be personal, but it has to read/sound like anyone could sing it and feel what the writer felt. I mean, calling myself a bulldog doesn't make me feel as strong as I should, and I'm sure there is an animal out there that more people could relate strength to besides a bulldog! Any solo artist, I'd have no issue with this song, but not for Imagine Dragons…

My only thing is I felt it was a bit too lengthy in the bridge. Take into consideration song parts and how length differs in different song sections.

I mean, besides for that awkward part, it was a pretty solid entry. I'm not sure if this was your intent or not, but it could actually be easier to write for someone who usually doesn't write for themselves anyway, as they could stick to a particular subject, but writing styles could vary since different songwriters have written different songs for them throughout their career. I think that gave you a sort of boost in this round.

You're a great writer, but I can tell from this you can't write for a pop artist. You're deeper and more complicated than you need to be…

However, what this challenge demonstrated to me is that you couldn't deal with pop artists, therefore your songwriting could only amount to so much… Don't disband the ideas of pop songwriting so quickly next time; it, too, is a worthwhile art form, especially when you only have the words to convey the emotion…

Leading up to it couldn't have been better… it was preparing for that big hook being both a little raunchy and a little clean. To be honest, I kinda wished you cursed or something; create this whole sacrilegious irony or something. This is great as an album track for Rihanna…

It's good writing, but it's lacking the anti-social aspect that makes up Lorde. If I was to sum up your song, you're in love and people don't understand. That's half of the equation… This other half is more Lana Del Rey. Had your artist been Lana Del Rey, this would've been a winner…

They felt empty and a little too lacklustre for this far on in the game, you gotta cut like a knife if you wanna make it to the next round, I feel like you played it too safe. Nothing too special jumped out at me about these lyrics this round sadly. I’m sure you’ll be fine, but hoping for more next round from you!

You know, I was originally going to do song title hints for everyone (which is why #1 is a song title), but I couldn't think of anything for Lorde that wouldn't be a dead giveaway, so I thought of how she has 2 singles with the mention of the word "teeth" in them, and a song called "White Teeth Teens". Teeth are like Lorde's thing.

Well, we have another game changing moment…
Our top writer this week and the winner of immunity is…
NO ONE!
We actually have a three-way tie, but the scores themselves do not amount to a top writer, so for this round immunity is scrapped altogether… This means "try harder next time"…
Plus, those who scored out of the bottom two…
1st/2nd/3rd - EatmeZayn, feelslikeadream & Tymps. - ★★★★★★★★⅓
8 1/3 STARS
4th - EuphorianSea & GotSkill - ★★★★★★★★
8 STARS
6th - Prometheus. - ★★★★★★★⅔
7 2/3 STARS
And our bottom two…
PeopleLikeUs
Scorpio King
Who out of the bottom two leaves this round…
Well, our final contestant in is…
Scorpio King - ★★★★★★★⅓
7 1/3 STARS
PeopleLikeUs, with only ★★★★★★ six stars, you will not be going platinum this season. But your score is not the only reason you are being let go. I understand the journey you have to take outside of ATRL, and I'm sure everyone here is going to wish you the best of luck on your way! You're free to tell them all the details… As of now, we are sorry to let you go, but I hope you continue your songwriting journey outside the competition.
