although the Bangerz era is practically dead right now, I really don't think its over (despite Miley performing covers at high profile events & singing a literally year-old single at other events). Labels usually release a song in certain countries to test it for bigger markets and with the reception 4x4 has gotten in the Netherlands despite it being her weakest market this era (with no video or live performances) is very telling. Diane is directing the video which means RCA and Miley herself know that they're trying to gear up for another hit.

I feel like her team is trying to lay it low right now (notice how we haven't seen much from her since the whole GAY incident) and we all know that when Miley lays low there's something big coming in the future. I think the plan is to 1-2 punch it with the 4x4 video getting released in early July and having her perform at the VMAs again (with her winning Wrecking Ball for VOTY) and the era keeps chugging along. Idk, i just feel like there's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that neither we or even themctimes knows about.

I just checked ASCAP and BMI, and it's such a mess how many unreleased, old Hannah songs they have listed. Let me hope some of them pull a Beach Weekend (Considering I already gave up hoping anything from a studio album will ever leak soon )

By the way, I'm the only one who thinks Miley's previous albums lack single material?
I love their consistency but realistically, they're not the type of songs that they would play on the radio at the time. "Meet Miley Cyrus" was still very Hannah, "Breakout" was too pop-rockish and "Can't Be Tamed" had way too many ballads during a time where songs like Tik-Tok were dominating - not the type of album you would release in summer 2010. Maybe, that's why the Bangerz era getting cut short makes me pressed - I see so much potential . From the previous albums only "Bottom Of The Ocean", "Obsessed", "Stay" and "Liberty Walk" are single worthy, really .

Literally all of Miley's albums are ballad heavy except MMC lol it's a bit of a mess when I try to tell people to get into her discography and they're like "why is every other song a ballad"

Let's Dance, Full Circle, The Driveway, Time of Our Lives and Two More Lonely People are the biggest missed hits from Miley's albums imo

I've been pressed since February 14, 2014 when I found out it wasn't on the tour setlist

She honestly could have, but these 6 months between the singles is kind of killing momemtum. Actually scratch that Adore You killed it. They should have just let Miley choose the 3rd single

Hopefully when 4x4 is announced they've got some **** under their sleeves

'Adore You' just had no promo and honestly i don't think people want another ballad from Miley which is why '4x4' would be perfect rn and I agree that I was also pressed that it wasn't on the set list and the only song from the album that wasn't!

Miley should release 4x4 for the summer and then after release Drive for like the end of the year, if they could get to five singles cuz I think Drive would actually do very well, it's a fave amongst many

If it was up to me I would at least have tried to make Do My Thang a single before the end of the era, it just embodies 'Bangerz' so well and would be perfect as a single.

I know the deal with Adore You, but I think if there was going to be another ballad it shouldn't have been something as slow as Adore You
