ONE Direction’s Harry Styles is furious Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik have risked the band’s future with a cannabis-smoking video.

Harry believes they were stupid and reckless after a leaked film shows Zayn puffing on a spliff in a tour van and Louis appearing to do the same.

Harry yesterday joined Zayn, Louis, Niall Horan and Liam Payne for crisis talks ahead of last night’s sell-out 1D gig in Sunderland.

Zayn, 21, looked downcast and tired earlier as he left The Lowry Hotel in Manchester to face 1D’s management for the first time since the video emerged. It came as stills were posted online yesterday.

And our source revealed: “Harry is annoyed about the whole debacle. This should be one of the biggest weeks of the band’s career with the launch of their UK stadium tour. Instead it has been taken over by this controversy. Harry thinks it was a stupid and reckless thing for Louis to allow to be filmed in the first place.”

We can reveal Harry has also been catching a different private jet to the pair because he does not approve of Zayn smoking roll-ups.

The insider added: “Despite Harry’s reputation, he’s incredibly professional and mature, and not into these sorts of antics.”

It is thought the footage from Louis’s mobile was lost or stolen then leaked by a disgruntled member of the band’s staff.

Worried Louis has been struggling to sleep as he deals with the fallout. The source added: “He was up checking his phone to see the reaction. He understands the whole world is talking and he is trying to work out how to limit the damage.”

1D’s management fear Zayn and Louis could be barred from entering the US when the tour arrives there in August.

The insider said: “Everything is about America. It would be a disaster if Zayn and Louis had problems. The authorities could make an example of them.”

Their record company boss Simon Cowell is said to be exasperated by the pair as he has always warned his acts about drug use.

A 1D spokesman said: “This matter is in the hands of our lawyers.”

The band were in playful mood at their gig in Sunderland’s Stadium of Light last night. They thanked their fans for being loyal but did not mention the incident.

Yeah, I don't think they'll be barred from entering the US, but Nigella Lawson was barred for admitting to cocaine and marijuana usage. Hopefully Louis isn't dumb enough to record anything like that again.
