Neon Lights was getting 40 - 50 spins a day until it entered top 35 or top 30 if i remembered correctly... plus it took around 2 weeks for it to crack the top 50 on pop but this only took 6 days and it's getting 80+ spins daily for like 3 days now so oh... and the music video is not out yet!

I would say they planned this single much better than NL... and NL has to crack the MITUSA curse on radio so it took longer but RDC is basically riding on NL's radio success right now cuz they moved on two weeks after NL peaked

+ NL was released right before the holidays so it really wouldn't have taken off until the New Year..
