I wonder if more people realise there is not a desperate need for quote notifications since you can just do a post search for your own username, and all quoted posts, plus in-direct name dropping posts will appear

That doesn't work for me. Every time I try that it only shows posts where my name is actually mentioned, not posts that quoted mine. The only time that works (for me) is when I am second in a multi-quoted post.
I posted it in a thread that K. Michelle shades Iggy Azalea, and this is the first time I complain about my WPs because I think that's not right.
And the truth is I don't really know who K. Michelle is.
I just want to get that WP get out on my list because I think that's not at any mean of "flamebait". Thank you

There is a rule. You can't post who, cause Google exists.
