She had a pretty clean record up until that point which was one of the reasons I really like her. She tried to stay above the shade and pettiness, but as of late her trigger finger has been itching a bit too much.

But, tbh, it happens to the best of artists (esp. rappers), but I wouldn't say she is making a music scene positive with her efforts lol.

And he's white. In fact pretty much all Australian rappers are white. But none of them try an mask their accents like Iggy Azalea does. And this guy is huge. He's constantly on Triple J and has even charted in the Triple J Hottest 100 in recent Australia Days (which is a really, really big deal here).

There's heaps of others too, Bliss n Eso, Melbourne Sounds, Pez, 360, just to name a few.

I think Iggy would be copping a lot less slack if she just rapped in her normal Australian accent. It'd make her sound interesting. I mean, it works for MIA and Lady Sovereign (when Lady Sovereign was actually around) - I know they're English and not Australian, but I mean...why fake an accent for your entire career. I just don't get it.

And all of those artists are local to Australia. Iggy left Australia at 16 and she's not interested in focusing on that market.

But, my point was that Twitter replies aren't adding positive vibes into the hip-hop atmosphere. Therefore, she isn't having a positive effect on hip-hop in that way.

its basic common sense that people are gonna talk about an artist more when they have a higher profile. The timing does not negate any points being made nor does it make her old tweets disappear that expose her ugly character.

It's an emerging industry. But there's no fake accents.

That being said, all my friends (myself included) LOVE the choruses of Fancy and Black Widow. We play both of them at parties all the time, but the instrumental version without Iggy's raps. Charli and Rita sound amazing. I wish they were solo songs for those girls!

Neither of them are "making hiphop/rap/urban positive" in that way lol. They definitely have positively impacted rap in other ways tho.

I'm just trying to point out to you that your argument is flawed in that way. I don't know how we measure who puts out the most positive energy or negative energy in hip-hop/music, but I don't think your suggestion should be considered as a possibility.

What? Is this what you really got out of my post. I'm actually an advocate for integration, but lets keep things in context here. I have a problem with blonde hair and blues eyes being slapped on "urban" music, and all of a sudden it becomes palatable for everyone.

replying to IRRELEVANT stans on Twitter it not ****ing impacting Hip Hop in any way. If Iggy dragged Lil Kim THAT would be making negativity and THAT would make headlines. Iggy dragging some hoodrat on Twitter will not make any impact and wont make any headlines.
