His goal was to kill every member of the Alpha Phi sorority because they were the hottest. The girls in it are typically the stereotypical short big boobie blonde girls.
The girls shot (2 of them) were from Delta Delta Delta, a different sorority. Ironically, the lowest ranked sorority, known around here as the "rejects" sorority because they accept literally anyone and often house the not so hot girls.

The other three were predetermined. 2 of them were his Asian roommates. In his manifesto he said they would be the first victims so they wouldn't "get in his way." A friend of his roommates, another Asian, was visiting that Saturday and so he had to kill him as well.
The 7th victim isn't actually a victim but rather himself as he shot himself in the head to commit suicide after the 6 previous murders were committed. The cops were onto him.

He wanted to kill his little brother Jazz because he was already signed up to an acting agency for TV commercials and he was jealous that his little brother would lose his virginity before he would. To prevent him from living a better life, he planned to kill him and his step mom as well. never did.

I'm a first year so I live in the dorm. Ironically, it is the only off campus dorm: located in the corner of Isla Vista... of all places. So when cops are sent into IV, etc. i hear it all.

And tbh I hate to say it but I lost a lot of my shock value this year. This first year alone at UCSB has been one of the craziest. Google UCSB Deltopia 2014. It was another (negative) incident that happened here. A riot broke out and cops were stabbed in the eye and attacked during Deltopia, a yearly event that occurs the first Saturday of every spring quarter. Lots of out of towners come into party in Isla Vista. It turned dangerous this year. I heard ambulances and cops all night. I didn't go out because I had went out that morning (Deltopia is an all day party kind of thing). The cops had to unleash tearing gas onto the streets eventually! But that, along with random sexual assaults and stories of people drowning in the ocean (literally a minute away) sort of left me unphased. Plus stories of like robberies by people holding machetes...

When I heard the news that there was a drive by I was devastated but was like "here we go again" and didn't think much of it. I thought everything was gonna end there and it was only one victim. Then my RA came knocking on everyone's door pleading people to stay indoors and not go out and party. My friends and I were actually getting ready to go out so I'm glad she stopped us! She didn't know much, but eventually, thanks to twitter, we started hearing gruesome details about how there were more victims. It only took like a 3 hours? For the YouTube video to be unveiled and it all become a huge thing. But by then we were all mortified and placed on lockdown. It was super scary and such a tense feeling in the air. We all just wanted to know who the killer and the victims were. Yesterday my friend and I went into IV to eat and it was crazy. The few people walking the usually full streets had lifeless expressions on their faces... every TV in every place had it on to CNN. Some streets were closed off, there was still dry blood at the scene of the crime. people were moving things out of the killer's apartment. News cameras and vans EVERYWHERE. It did not feel like IV at all yesterday. They held the first candle vigil that night. My friends and I didn't go but we plan on going on Tuesday. We were all to scared to leave the dorm. We didn't know what was going to happen.

Today was another recovery day. Everything is still very much quiet. It'll take the rest of this quarter (3 weeks remaining) to feel better, I believe.

To kill that, we need to change the norms of society. This guy as a man, felt entitled. On top of being white he felt even more entitled. I read it too (well most of it), it was crazy

I don't think it was actually sex that he wanted even thought teenage sexual urges was where it started it became more than that, kinda warped by his personality.

He seems very jealous and possessive, he wanted to have the best everything and he believed he deserved it because he saw himself as brilliant and godlike. He wanted the best car and I think that's probably why he cared only about pretty blonde girls, he viewed them as the best.

He didn't want hookers because he felt that the women should be throwing themselves at him and he seemed to want to own a woman more than actually being with her.

I think the feminists who are saying this is all about patriarchy and the MRA are wrong. I think it was just about his jealousy and possessiveness, although he most certainly was a misogynist.
He hated women because they didn't throw themselves at him like he deserved and he hated men because they got the women when they didn't deserve them.

Yes patriarchy does exist and yes there is a need for feminism but feminism is not above criticism and feminists get things wrong sometimes. Labeling everyone who disagrees with you as a misogynist is burying your head in the sand.

Maybe take some of your own advise, read his manifesto, read about patriarchy and all the effects of it. Dogmatically agreeing with anyone's view is a bad idea even if they are usually right.
