The same reason Madonna doesn't count the Dick Tracy soundtrack and Mariah doesn't count the Glitter soundtrack as part of their overall studio releases. They're not artists continuations of their career, but side diversions.
Mi Reflejo was a side project, and so was the Christmas album.
Your Alternative rate is approved, just have to find the time to launch it.
