That's pretty much exactly what it is. European countries send an artist to represent them with a song and Europe votes to decide a winner. It's basically a campy hunger games for European gays with glitter, wind machines, power ballads, bad english and political voting
A lot of performances were clearly inspired by P!nk this year. There were trapezes, short blond haircuts and Try-like dancing
