I do agree that most of her albums and tracks now feel like I-want-to-get-noticed styled songs. Or I could be wrong, she might feel that this is the right time to experiment with different sounds. She is fully aware that her sales are declining and therefore she has nothing to lose by using this opportunity to make the music she wants before she becomes completely faded by more contemporary J-pop stars.
Either way, I love her new direction. I was a bit meh about Party Queen, in fact, I may actually call the album terrible. But this album appears quite diverse as it includes pop-rock classics like "NOW & 4EVA", contemporary electro-dance "Lelio", Dance-pop "Feel The Love", RnB infused pop "Merry-go-round". Plenty of ballads and dance anthems like "XOXO"
