My Rankings: I don't really hear the resemblance to Emancipation (neo soul R&B) or E (contemporary pop leaning R&B) or Memoirs (boring R&B)
1. Cry. 9/10
2. Faded 10/10 (amazing love love)
3. Dedicated 11/10 (best thing she's done ever along with break down for me)
4. #Beautiful 9/10
5. Thirsty 7/10 (love it as a single but after hearing the album, this song doesn't fit AT ALL)
6. Make It Look Good 10/10
7. You're Mine 7/10 (like "Thirsty" doesn't fit the album)
8. You Don't Know What To Do 11/10
9. Supernatural 7.5/10
10. Meteorite 10/10
11. Camouflage 7/10
12. Money 8.5/10
13. One More Try 6/10
14. Heavenly 7/10
I'm a sucker for atmospheric deep ambient ish music (Lana hihi) and throw backs.
Most of the album are just that except cheap tracks like "Thirsty" "You're Mine" and "Supernatural". They sound cheap and out of place but mind you they are great on their own.
I don't like "One More Try", the only song I like to skip same with "Camouflage" and "Heavenly". They are songs that do not have a clear verse and chorus lead up. I don't like that. And the melody of those songs are just a big blur to me. I can't make it out.
"Cry." Would have been in this category as well but the vocal destroyed my life so raw.
This album slay ways too much! Mariah is snatching my coins for a physical and digital and my mom's if it's released on vinyl! I hope the booklet is gorgeous and has lyrics (which it will based on her past albums).
