I'm glad I'm not alone with the whole Michael Jackson thing. I respected him so much as an artist; he had a great voice and he changed pop music forever. He was incredibly talented, and I think he had a messed up past and that kind of affected his future as far as what he did to himself. I remember I was watching TV and there was something on about his child molestation case and I asked my mom why his name was Michael if he was a woman.... He was just so creepy and when he died his face was EVERYWHERE. My cousin kind of scared me when he died and kind of made me creeped out by Michael Jackson.... Regardless of how he looked, though, I respect him so much as an artist. He was really a very important person to the music world and he did so much to change music.

Our Version Of Events is one of the greatest albums released in the past few years. And not just the album, but also Emeli's collabs like "Lifted" are just flawless.
If anyone doesn't know Back to Black (album), then I mean, Back to Black (the song), Rehab, You Know I'm No Good, Love Is a Losing Game... all masterpieces. Amy's sound/voice was so good and so different. In some aspects she was even much better than Adele and I'm totally serious. Amy was just one of the best musicians ever, there's nobody you can really compare to her, that's how unique she was.
Since we are talking about British music, y'all need to get into James Morrison. Any of his 3 albums. All masterpieces.
Oh, and Arctic Monkeys too.

I agree.
Our Version of Events is one of my favorite albums. Just incredible. Emeli has so much class and I can't wait for her next album. And yeah, I like some of Amy's other songs too. I listened to a lot of her singles and none of them really hit me like "Back to Black", but I really liked some of them and I really want to go back and check out her albums all the way through. She was just incredible. So talented. Such a shame we had to lose such a talent. And I've heard some of James Morrison's songs. I'll have to check him out and really pay attention to his music, though.
