Basically. They should push Rainbow more now that KARA is in other projects and later see how 3ARA would do first than add new members. Not to mention I'm against that reality show thing still going to watch tho because it's KARA

I didn't watch all of those WIN episodes so I've been catching up these last few days. It amazes me that Team B didn't win, they were basically flawless as a group and somehow annoying and not very cute

The right team won though. With Team A I feel like it was kinda a now-or-never situation for them. Team B still have a couple more years ahead of them for them to flourish before debut (even though they'll likely end up debuting at the end of this year anyway), whereas if Team A didn't win YG for sure would've disbanded them and they'd have had nothing to show for it

Plus, Team A had Mino so that makes it okay. I still sorta wish they'd just combined both groups so they could rival EXO but it probably was never on the cards.

But EXO is way too far ahead now. They'll just be labeled EXO carbon copy if they did that.
Plus, since WINNER's debut is always getting delayed its safe to assume that by the time Imaginary-OT12 actually debuts, EXO would be perched at the top already. No competition.

I even think WINNER can't rival EXO's status anymore. Maybe GOT7.

nn Big Bang debuted two years before SHINee.

But yeah I think they are, even though one focuses on dancing while the other focuses on entertaining. When you look at their original strategies though, albeit generic for pre-2010 k-pop, both followed the same pattern of R&B -> electropop.

career and brand name-wise, Big Bang's rival from SM would technically be TVXQ but I can see why you mentioned SHINee.
It's kinda like the SNSD/2NE1 situation.
One debuted 2 years before the other and 2NE1 is more sonically closer to f(x) (and debuted closer too) but they still get compared to SNSD

Big Bang don't really have any SM counterparts tbh. They received some comparisons to TVXQ when they both started venturing into Japan but I guess that's about it. Their only main rivals were 2PM but, even then, Big Bang were pretty well established by the time 2PM debuted.
