Nicki Minaj performs on CONAN with Drake
Nicki Minaj performed 2 new tracks on CONAN. She performed her latest single "Lookin Ass N*gga" and "High School with fellow ex-Young Money rapper Drake.
The two left Young Money and Cash Money Records last year for mostly unknown reasons. Drake says he has nothing against the crew but he just needed to move on. Nicki's management said it was due to "creative differences".
Nicki wore the iconic Versace safety-pin gown worn by Elizabeth Hurley and worn afterwards by the likes of Naomi Campbell and Lady Gaga and again let her natural hair down and added some gold extensions for the show.
She also wore a gold knuckle duster on her right hand that had the letters "N I G G A" emblazoned on it and punched the camera with it during her performance of "Lookin' Ass N*gga" which has caused much controversy amongst people on social media websites. Reportedly there has been hundreds of complaints because of Nicki's antics and the use of the word "n*gga" on the show.
Conan O'Brien took to twitter himself to say that Nicki and Drake asked to be able to freely use the language and express themselves and their lyrics and that Conan has "no problemo" with it at all and "loved having them as guests" and "doesn't regret the decision made". He also added that it is a late-night show anyway.

Madonna covered Billboard Magazine's May 2014 issue, on which she answered some questions for the interview and had a 8 pages photoshoot. An excerpt of the interview is available on billboard.com, which you can read below but the maagzine will only be out tomorrow. Madonna discuss topics such as her views on religion, her current life, the theme of the album, her new tour and working with William Orbit and Stuart Price again. She also revealed the titleof one of the songs on the album, 'Times, which will be a Apocalypse themed song.
[...]
Billboard: Tell us about the album 'Illusions'
Madonna: well it's quite a dark record. The album opens with the breathtaking 'Times' and has 12 tracks in it. 'Run' is only the last track on the tracklist.
Billboard: Could you tells some information on 'Times' Please?
Madonna: well it's a Electronic yet a little bit RNB lovestory song that ends up badly because the world is slowly ending around the couple.
Billboard: You've been experimenting with this album again, From the few songs you previewed us, the album sounds like a mix of "Ray Of Light', 'Bedtime Stories', 'Erotica' and 'Confessions on a Dancefloor' all of this with some 'American Life' Electronic RNB, why did you choose to go so many different roots in nearly every song?
Madonna: well, I felt as if i needed to create something fresh, and which is a lot better then some of the music you can listen to on the radio right now. I decided to get inspired by my own older work. I think it's beautiful!
Billboard: You've just started your 'Illusions Tour', how does it feels like to be back on the road?
Madonna: It feels great actually! I really love touring, I worked a lot on the visuals and the dancing, It's going to be huge! Also i can't wait until i realese my album so i can put all my new songs in the setlist.

Ariana Grande does an iHeartRadio Live Session
Earlier today, right after Ariana Grande released her new and highly anticipated new single - A Love So Deep - on iTunes, she stopped by iHeartRadio studios that are located in Los Angeles, California, where she performed five songs in total - two from her previous debut album, and three from her upcoming sophomore album. It was the first time that she performed her new, never before heard songs, and those songs that she performed actually caused some kind of buzzed as music blogs and websites praised her new and way more mature sound. She started her iHeartRadio session with a performances of her previous singles The Way and Right There. After she performed her old songs, Ariana continued the set by performing her new single A Love So Deep for the first time ever live. It was really obvious that Ariana was nervous about this performance as she wanted to do her best, but however, even if she was nervous, the singer served everything she was able to serve. Besides the fact that it was her first performance of this song, the song itself is very difficult vocally because of all those low and high notes, but Ariana managed to prove once again that her voice can do pretty much anything, as she served those notes and vocals just perfectly right. On the stage, Ariana was surrounded by her six back-up dancers that all wore white outfits with two letters 'AG' on their back. Ariana wore a two-piece outfit which consisted of crop top and knee-long skirt. She didn't move that much during the performance as she was more focused on her vocals and notes. After her A Love So Deep performance, Ariana performed other two new songs - Cheerleaders and Too Stubborn To Love You. Both of those two songs are expected to appear on her upcoming sophomore album, released later this year. Ariana's performance was broadcasted live on iHeartRadio's internet website, and it was also streamed on the radio.
1. The Way
2. Right There
3. A Love So Deep
4. Cheerleaders
5. Too Stubborn To Love You

Ariana Grande performs on Jimmy Kimmel show
After Ariana Grande released her new single A Love So Deep earlier today, she starts the promotion tour with a bang by visiting couple of places in just one day. Latest show where she performed - the famous Jimmy Kimmel Live show, on which Ariana appeared to perform her single for the audience and TV viewers, as well as to give an interview and talk about everything that is going in her life. Ariana appeared on the stage to perform her song right after show's first guest was interviewed. When it was time for Ariana to perform her single, Jimmy introduced her really welcoming, and it seemed like he is excited for her performance as well as he couldn't stop fangirling: "I'm really excited to present our musical guest this week, and she is one of the most exciting artists that broke out in the last year. By scoring hit single and a number one album, Ariana Grande scored herself a spot in the music industry. Performing her brand new single, A Love So Deep, please welcome, my personal favorite, Ariana Grande!" Ariana's performance was super simple yet super cute, fun and playful, as she did a little choreography with her dancers and sang at the same time. Even if Ariana was dancing and moving around the stage along with her back-up dancers, her voice still sounded impressively good as she hit those high whistly notes without a Problem (out on iTunes right now by the way). It was a nice performance and Ariana did everything she was able to do - she danced, she sang, she had fun while entertaining people.
After she performed her single, Ariana disappeared for a bit while the commercial was one, but then she once again showed up on the show now wearing completely different outfit from the one that she was wearing while performing. Ariana wore a beautiful black and knee-long dress that was just a bit tight, but not too much, it perfectly fitted her body shape and showed all of her good parts. Her hair was straightened and just simply down, without any kind of ponytail or something else. She wore smokey make-up, which was very minimal and simple as possible. Overall, Ariana looked just... simple, simple and flawless. This simplicity look definately fits Ariana and her body. Once she showed up to give an interview, Jimmy instantly stood up and led her to her sofa, complementing her outfit and saying how beautiful she looks as well. Ariana seemed to be happy as she was laughing and smiling all the time.
Ariana: Oh dear, I don't even remember the last time I gave an interview...
Jimmy: Well, I'm really glad that you agreed to give an interview, because there is so much I want to talk about with you, a lot has happened since the last time you were here. You've released you first studio album, now you recently released your new single, which is also the lead single from your upcoming sophomore, second studio album. Only what, half a year, pass since you released Yours Truly. Why did you decide to start recording your new album already?
Ariana: I don't even know, honestly. I think I've got inspired by the recent events in my life. It's no secret that I had this a bit dramatic break-up and a lot happened behind what went public. Also, I dated Nathan Sykes later. All these love stories, break-ups and whatnots inspired me to start writing new songs. Also, this time, I was very inspired by people and movies as well. I watched a lot of retro films and somehow, I managed to write some songs about them. I also wrote a song or two just while sitting in Starbucks and watching people on the street. I start working on the album naturally.
Jimmy: A Love So Deep is a very mature and R'n'B song with huge and impressive vocals, but it yet sounds like a good pop song. How did you manage to create something that perfectly appeals to R'n'B and Pop audiences?
Ariana: Well all the credit goes to this song's producers, Max Martin and Babyface, who teamed up to produce this for me. It's a little bit unexpected collaboration, you would never expect Max Martin and Babyface to produce the same song, but somehow we managed to get together, share our ideas, polish them together and work as hard as possible. And I think we did a great job with this song, we managed to create something that you wouldn't hear nowadays. I think it's fresh and it something new, and I think people like it because of that.
Jimmy: I have to ask you this, Ariana. What happened between you and Perez?
Ariana: Well, it's a really long story that has started on the Grammys night - I wore this simple dress and he criticised my outfit. And my famous, probably now annoying, ponytail hairstyle. It's nothing that serious, I can take criticism, but then my fans backed me up and fought with him. He wasn't really satisfied with all the stuff that my fans said and then he started writing rude things about me, and I couldn't believe that someone could write something like that. I mean, it was just a dress and hairstyle, if you don't like it - fine, but then take the responsibility, because later, when Arianators attacked him, he started saying that he actually liked my outfit and stuff like that, and he also said I can't take criticism when he was the one who started over-dramatizing when Arianators didn't like his posts. I mean, it's just a huge mess and I'm not even interested in it anymore, at all.
Jimmy: So your album will sound something like A Love So Deep?
Ariana: Well, not exactly like that, but some of the songs will be this Pop and R'n'B mixture. However, I have some experimental songs on the album, but I don't want to say too much about them at the moment as I want to surprise my fans. I think they will be really satisfied with what they will hear. But yeah, most of the songs are R'n'B slashed Pop but a bit more mature than Yours Truly songs were. We've listened to The Way and this one song on the upcoming album just to compare my previous sound and my current sound, and I can say that this sound is a bit more... throwback-ish, you know, just inspired by the 60's and the 80's. It's definately interesting.

Ariana Grande performs on David Letterman show
Ariana Grande continues promoting her latest single A Love So Deep all around the US and the world as well as she stops by yet another popular TV show in states - David Letterman. Ariana showed up there as the episode's musical guest and performed her single right before the show ended. On the stage, the singer appeared along with six back-up dancers and also her backup vocalists, who were standing in the corner of the stage. The dancers and Ariana were wearing overall black outfits, rocking tight and leather clothes. Ariana looked really sexy as well with her hair slicked back into a ponytail and with all those black clothes tight clothes, which showed off her beautiful curves and lines. The performance itself was super energetic and positive with uplifting and happy vibes as it all looked really fun as the dancers danced around Ariana while she was performing her catchy yet mature single. Throughout this performance, Ariana didn't dance that much as she was mainly focused on her vocals since she didn't want to damage her voice by dancing and singing at the same time, which is super difficult, if you want to do both things very well. After the performance, A Love So Deep jumped couple places higher on iTunes charts and reached Top 3, passing other older songs.

Madonna on BBC Radio 1

Madonna stopped by the BBC Radio 1 studios in London to perform a set of six songs from her older and current discography. The braodcasted mini-concert was listened to by thousands who loved Madonna's softer version of up beat songs such as 'Ray of Light' and 'Run'. She obviously ddn't lip-sync and started her set by the acpustic performance of 'Ray Of Light'. She had done a lot of vocal training to prepare this era so her vocals were quite amazing and she left the entire studio amazed. The next song was the acoustic version of 'Like A Virgin'. She then followed with the rest of the set with, 'Frozen', 'Open Your Heart' & 'Cherish' before ending with the new hit single 'Run'. All of the songs were performed acoustically. It really was a beautiful performance.
