Just noticed that the G.U.Y. video got more views in its first two days than the Birthday video
I don't think Birthday's been as promoted. Imho it'll flop too. Not as bad as G.U.Y. but I'm thinking there is a definitive change in pop music and Dark Horse was heading towards it and she made a biiiig step back with Birthday. Bey's pop cycle (XO) completely flopped. Urban is in again.

Exactly why G.U.Y. is doing poorly on radio right now. EDM specifically is tanking right now. I have a feeling Birthday will have an Unconditionally chart run - good initial response, but I don't see it going very far. Gaga really has no other single option then, if that's the case. It's really sad to see her completely miss the mark on what's popular in pop music right now.

If only Azealia just didn't completely unravel. I'd like for Gaga to try a song with Iggy but don't use Ratchet - that would just look bad on both of their parts. I suppose a Rihanna feature could help but I'm not sure Rih's team would budge this late in the game (unless it was a song for the next album).

Gaga doesn't have a hit era to come off of anymore, which is why she needs hit music to re-launch her career. Blurred Lines was huge and people think Robin Thicke is a pedophile. It really doesn't have as much to do about image as you think. Gaga wasn't very likeable during the BTW era, yet The Edge of Glory and Y&I were still hits.
And when did I ever say ARTPOP is Gaga's worst album? I still think BTW is her worst album, and my opinion on ARTPOP hasn't changed. The music is good but not what it should've been. Cohesively, it's better than BTW, but as many have said here, BTW's highs were higher and lows were lower than ARTPOP.
That still doesn't change the fact that the productions sound dated and not at all in line with the current music landscape. She completely missed the memo and she's falling behind, which makes it even more important that she work with producers who are aware of what would make a hit at the current time.

Well, Dope is, or maybe Jewels and Drugs because it's not too "poppy". If she re-release DWUW (impossible) it can be a Top 10 hit because it is not that noisy or loud. Well at least she have an option. Don't quit Gaga.
Well, Fashion! could work too but I'd like her to try something even better than that. It's a great song but I have a feeling that she could come up with something really really amazing from its foundation.
J&D is too urban for pop radio. I think Fashion! is the only option she has left if she wants to release something in line with the current "in" sound. Dope could've done well months ago but that ship has sailed. DWUW was handled poorly, and perhaps even ahead of its time slightly. They released it when that pop-folk sound was everywhere, but now that's gone away and a darker, more urban pop sound is in, and DWUW would've fit that bill perfectly.

Yeah I was thinking Gypsy could mimic a TEOG summer run on radio, but it really doesn't fit with anything on radio either. Fashion! is the only thing other than DWUW on ARTPOP that does. The lyrics and topic though are holding it back Maybe people would look past that and bop to it anyways? "Looking good and feeling fine" could become iconic I guess...

Fighting with Kats right now would be like Ukraine fighting Russia(us being Ukraine,them being Russia). We know we're better and that we're right but they are so much stronger.
Let us get the strength first( that would be Gaga releasing new strong material) and then we can go to war.
If the label forces her to release another single, she wants Sexxx Dreams or Gypsy, but I don't see that happening. I guess she's going to perform some new songs while on tour for the fans and then we'll have to wait until C2C and Act 2 to have a new single.
