Britney didn't really become harsh too often but when she did everyone on twitter called her rude and a witch
Even Simon always kind of pushed her and Demis opinion on the side in favour of LA Reid. However Britney is seen as a sweet person and I guess she didnt get much backlash in the big picture when she dragged contestants. I think the thing with Christina is that she has a reputation in a way of being "rude and stuck up" which people usually mix up with her just being a loud and proud person who isn't afraid to be confident.
