I'm really having trouble not responding this with a Britney Spears argument.

Anyway, for an artist that comes quick and falls hard she sure has lasted a while and achieved what many of the so-called established artists will never do.

For me it is that she has the potential to be great but she doesn't use it. She continues to release quite basic songs/ albums (which i enjoy nonetheless, don't get me wrong) and doesn't use her whole potential and that annoys me.
And people really need to stop bringing up Gaga for whatever reason.

Welllll I think it's probably due to the fact that she (mostly) goes for things that anybody who's good looking/can carry a tune could do if given the chance. But a music star is supposed to be someone who is on another level-- you can't be basic and the best all at once.

I think that the music she puts out isn't what she truly wants to put her name on. Some of the songs on Katy Hudson are amazing! I think if she grows as an artist she'd be more respected on ATRL and out.

Not here for WW sales. Everyone knows the American market is where artists strive to succeed in.

Indifference is different than hate. Standing up for her is not going to make her career last any longer

History has PROVEN generic artists like Katy do not last.
