The performance of Rihanna's lead singles is interesting but by now predictable. When they're released to iTunes they do well, but people don't care enough about her to rush out and send them to #1. So they peak at like #2 or 3 and gradually begin their descent. By the end of the week they're down to like #9, barely clinging to the iTunes top 10. But they're still in the top 10. Early the following week they increase a little like all relatively new songs with top 10 exposure do at the beginning of the week when people check out what's new. And by then radio is spinning the **** out of them, also helping the increase. Soon after the video is out, it goes viral, and with 100M+ AI and all those views, the song is set.
