It's really not. She's admitted herself that she wasn't fully invested in it and had no inspiration for TT, and it shows. Also, we know Linda Perry called her out on not putting any effort into the album, too.
It didn't deserve to flop as hard as it did, and people have spent so much time defending it against people who say it's bad just cause it flopped that they've somehow convinced themselves that it was a fantastic album, which it wasn't. It was never going to do as good as M!ss, it was always going to be a bit of a flop in comparison. It was not an album that deserved to sell 10million+ copies. It just wasn't. Thankfully she got her **** together and bothered to put an effort into the making of IND, and look at that, it didn't flop. Shocking.
The fact remains that it's a strong album. It's a steady listen
