Ranking
1. Empire
epic song. one of the best of her career. should've been an absolute smash
2. You Don't Care About Me
SUPER catchy and should've been the Rihanna feature. The pop and reggae mix is to die for. i absolutely love this new side of shakira.
3. Medicine
surprisingly amazing. wasn't my favorite from the get-go but a super grower. the pop-popin the pills part is great. Blake on it isn't necessary but adds to it
4. Dare
super catchy.. love the song as it is but I wish it was released in 2012! i think this could do great WW. i love the sexiness in her voice. however i was very dissapointed with the Brasil version! although i enjoy it, it could've and should've been so much better - not in regards to the lyrics but rather the production. the drums are too faint and I wanted more of a native vibe to make it more unique
5. Can't Remember to Forget You
in hindsight not a great lead single but I still LOVE it.. the reggae/pop/rock mix is literal perfection

6. Cut Me Deep
very reggae and i'm glad she kept this experimentation going
7. Chasing Shadows
why is this a bonus track!? it's pretty great
-
8. 23
very cute but not on the level of her other work.. milan is cute
9. Spotlight
fun rock song. glad she included a rock song but could've been better... not very memorable
10. The One Thing
my favorite song when i first heard the album but slowly has fallen down my list. replay quality isn't great and it's quite generic. still fun though
11. Loca Por Ti
tried very hard to get into this.. haven't been able to
12. That Way
beautiful but NOWHERE near the level of epicness that her past ballads have. thoroughly disappointed that this is the 'signature' ballad of the album.. i really wanted something on Antes De Las Seis or Obtener Un Si's level
Overall
i REALLY love this album. it's super fun to listen to and I absolutely love the reggae and country experimentation in it. However, not many songs have the EPIC quality I was really waiting for (the first four/five in my ranking do imo).. all in all this isn't one of my favorite albums of hers but I still absolutely love spinning it and I'm glad she released it.
