I'm fed up of people saying they dont want old songs on the album just because they want new songs. Do you care about the flow of an album or do you just want a pile of songs that dont flow well?

In fact she might have one of her old songs on UV. She gave a short interview to "Metro" where she said that one of the lyrics in the new album is "He hit me and it felt like a kiss" which was in the leaked song "Beautiful Player". I loved that song (specially the mix with the rap) so wouldn't mind seeing it repackaged with her new sound.

That doesn't even make sense.

Lana obviously writes her albums as a whole body of work. Not as individual songs. By adding new songs its sorta removing part of her vision.

Mess. Or...the new songs could just...flow? Lana's albums are always cohesive in sound and theme--I'm sure UV will be as well

In the 1st page some members put 1 hour and 23 minutes...I thought it was the lasting of Ultraviolence.

They could flow well. But, im sure Lana has a vision for her album and creates songs that fit certain parts of that vision. Maybe she does replace some of the leaked songs but judging by the interview she done during the Black Beauty leak she seemed annoyed. Mostly because (I could be reading into this too much, but I dont think I am) when a song leaks, the label pressure artists to make new ones and that could of annoyed Lana and her vision for the album.

i'm not going to miss the orchestral sound. i LOVED it on Born To Die, absolutely, but she can't just keep releasing music with the same sound over and over again. it's like Florence with Ceremonials; it's my favorite album is existence, but if she released a Ceremonials 2.0 i'd be really annoyed.

i can't judge UV yet obviously, but based on WC alone, i think lana has put a step in the right direction. she needs to evolve progressively--not change her sound completely, but adapt to change!

June 2nd sounds so far

Was listening to BTD and Paradise today just to get myself back in the swing of Lana. This new sound with West Coast though is something else and I love it. Ultraviolence looks set to be one of the most interesting releases this year.
