So I was listening to MacArthur Park and realized this may be what Beth gives us lyrically. It talks about a cake being destroyed by the rain as a metaphor for love. "I don't think that I can take it, cause it took so long to bake it, and I'll never have that recipe again".
This could be total BS but my friend who works in the industry just texted me saying that she was a guest judge on top chief today and this was a list of things she wanted in her dressing room:
-Smart water
-Perrier
-Pretzel Crisps
- Raw Almonds
-Organic Bananas
-Dark Chocolate
-Non fat French Vanilla Coffeemate
- Coffee
- Green Tea Bags
- Throat Coat Bags
- Honey
- Fresh ginger
- Crudites- carrots, celery, and hummus
- unsweetened iced green tea

Maybe Alazy will just cover it.
She has one on BETHÉNÉ. It's a song called 'Born to Fry' and is the album opener.
I've a 1:17 long version of this for so long. Do you know how this surfaced? I want all her unreleased tracks.
This track is from a promo CD before Can't Take Me Home was even recorded. The other 3 songs made it to the album, this one did not. I know a couple old fans had it so I guess one of them uploaded it.
I didn't know this was written by Beth. WHAT KIND OF GOSPEL?????????!
yeah she wrote it with billy mann during the i'm not dead sessions, but it went to joss stone and she recorded it for the fantastic four movie IIRC. it is a great song, with great lyrics and a great message!
also loving this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNEUC3d_bkE co-written by pink! this is suzie mcneil, she was pink's backup singer during the i'm not dead tour (promo and US club tour).
^It is a nice song but it somehow doesn't fit her discoraphy, maybe because of the lyrics.
Anyway I need new music from her. Even these songs are giving me butterflies because I know she made them and they are somehow 'new' to my ears. I thought I was fine without her for another year but damn, I'm too weak.
