In all honesty, I wouldn't mind it.
I'll always appreciate new music from MC but if she was to stop major releases I'd understand as she's had a successful career, achieved her dreams and being a wife and mother is important to her now. Although she'll always write and produce songs since music is her first love. So maybe a song every now and then. I wouldn't want mixtapes though.
But if this was to be her last album then it should be really strong (no doubt it will be from what we've heard so far).
If this was to happen I wouldn't be surprised.

I agree. I just got to thinking that like; what if Mariah continued to do what she was doing right now except with no planned album in the future? I don't think I'd mind all that much, as long as we were getting solid tracks. I wouldn't be against her releasing mixtapes of unreleased work though. She/her label aren't going to be willing to put every single song she records on iTunes as a single, and since b-sides are no longer a thing, it would be cool if she released a free mixtape or something of her unused work. orrrr she could bring b-sides back.

Imagine buying a single on iTunes and getting a bonus, non-remix single along with it.

I wouldn't mind if we got her unreleased stuff from the vault and her sporadic post retirement projects were good, like a fun jazz and blues album.

I'd love that! I feel like the Lambs are really deprived of unreleased work compared to all the other bases out there who have like 50+ songs. I'd be interesting if she released a commentary album along with it; kinda telling us the back story of a song and why it never made final cut.
Blues and jazz album would slay as long as she did a duet with King Buble.
