I'm glad she didn't. It would have been such a desperate move. Imagine if didn't go top 10 with the (cheap) video. The meltdowns would be even worse than the ones we got/are still getting.
She did plenty for the song but most fail to realize the song just wasn't going to be a hit. And gave up? Really? She performed at the biggest promo spots during that time of the year and the song had good airplay. Face the facts. It wasn't destined to be a hit with or without a video. If it did get a video. It would be in the top 10 for a week or two at most.
She was sick and tired of it all and seemed depressed. She needed time to think. I'm okay we didn't get a video because she came back and gave us a high quality video the way she wanted too. She seems to be in a much better place mentally compared to late 2013.
And no disrespect, but your head is wrapped way too much around the charts. Why does it matter to you? Is the song going to be 10x better if it was top 10? I don't get it.
