Acting wise he is spot on, perhaps even more vile than Book Joffrey, however he is FAR off in appearance wise, Joffrey in the books was described as being tall, strong, and handsome with gold curls. Although a lot of characters in HBO do not match their book descriptions at all.

Lena has never read the books so you really can't compare her performance to the books. Based on this episode she is slowly but surely going mad which IMO is more important, Joffrey's death is only a trigger not the whole outcome of what she can and will be. Now she will be the main villain in the series and go to even more extreme depths. Her story is really going to develop much more as well as Sansa's and the Tyrell's.

Jack was good but just that, he's sweet as a person but he has an easy role, a cold hearted brat to do as he wishes, he has no depth or dimensions, if maybe he would have bonded with his dad or shown some compassion towards his siblings it would be different, but no, he was a villain through and through, a great one and an easy one to hate but that's it.

Jack Gleeson was SPOT ON as Joffrey from the second he appeared in the pilot till his purple demise here. He should be getting more recognition. Amazing makeup, his purple face freaked me out to be honest.

I don't feel like celebrating his death though, like I'm honestly going to miss his presence on the show (way more than Robb for example).

Ellaria and Oberyn were slaying again.

I like they are bringing light to more and more of GOT's background this season. From Elia Martell, Balerion The Black Dread, Rhaegar Targaryen, the knight who covered Lyanna Starks tower, it gives it a much better setting and reasoning

After his death more storylines are able to continue, I love what GRRM said, the death of a character in the story happens when it further develops other characters, for Ned it was a way to see new light onto the remaining Starks, Rob and Cat's deaths meant a bigger arch for Arya, the death of the previous hand gave birth to Cersei and Jamie's story, Robert's death led to Joffreys reign and Ned's downfall now, Joff's death will open up Sansa's story as well and Cersei's evil ways.

Joffrey was not a great villain he was AMAZING villain,entertaining as fk,he steals every scene where he shows up and you can't get your eyes off him for being such a incredible c*nt.Jack did an masterful job.even George said he did an incredible job,and managed to make the character seem even more c*nt like and horrible for the way he acted in the role.


look at Ramsay.he does sick **** tho but the actor who plays it very camp like and not nearly as interesting and entertaining as Joffrey was.we are all gonna
miss to hate on Joffrey.


Peter Dinklage (Tyrion ) NEVER read the books but he still manages to put a brilliant performance,and be Emmy nominated EACH SEASON !

I just saw a slowed down GIF of the scene where Olenna is stroking Sansa's hair and she does indeed take a piece of the necklace! I was worried they changed it because I didn't see it but I probably just blinked at the wrong time. Masterfully executed!

And Kerry Ingram is doing so well as Shireen Baratheon, she doesn't have much to say overall but she delivers really well every single time.

Strong episode. The Royal Wedding had such a great production value you just have to compliment. It had one of the most medieval yet not cheap-feeling atmospheres you could create and I especially loved the powerful undertone during this event.

Aside from that Jeoffrey being dead is yet another bold gamechanger as he did a lot for this show. I'm interested in seeing how this will continue!

Also, bar the Royal Wedding the other scenes showed improvement to last week, as well. The show does benefit a lot from longer scenes that can go into depth.
