Every stanbase has had that time where they overrate a song's success from their fave. This case is because we did not expect it to do so well. It was released in ONE country on ONE format (not the most popular one either), and it crossed over. Because it had impact. It even crossed over and became a hit in countries such as New Zealand and France. But it was never released there. So why did it cross over? Because it had impact.

without streaming it wouldve peaked at #9-10 for a week and then fallen out of the top 10. The song spent 8 weeks in the hot 100 top 10, only one week in the sales top 10, 0 weeks in radios top 5 etc. it was all streaming

You're grasping at points aren't you? There is a difference between people knowing your lyrics and people taking a lyric out of a song and focusing on that. It's like "to the left, to the left" vs. "shorty got low low low low". One is an iconic lyric the other is a lyric from a very popular song.

the song was #7 on HDS and Kworb was predicting a #7 Hot 100 debut before the streaming numbers. Where are you getting your information from and why radios top 5 and not radios top 10? you're literally doing whatever you can to diminish the songs achievements, it's sad
